Recount Scheduled for Ellsworth Municipal Election

A recount has been requested and will occur on Friday, November 8th in the Ellsworth Municipal election that was held on Tuesday, November 5th.

According to City Clerk Heidi-Noel Grindle, the recount is the for the purpose of recounting the votes cast for the Ellsworth City Council race between Marc Blanchette and Gene Lyons. It will take place at 8:30am in the Council Chambers

The tally sheets had Marc Blanchette coming in 3rd, thereby winning the seat with a total of 618 votes while Gene Lyons finished 4th with a total of 598 votes. The difference being 20 votes.
