Police say a 77-year-old Litchfield woman who failed to show up at her destination in Bangor, has been found safe.

Jacka Beckwith was reported missing while driving her red Subaru Legacy on Sunday, with Maine license plate 9186 UK. She was traveling to a relative's home in Bangor, but never showed up. State Police say Jacka has memory issues, is 5'2" tall, and has gray hair. She was spotted early Monday morning in Baileyville, asking for directions to Bangor. The convenience store's staff learned too late that police were looking for her.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says police said Monday evening that Jacka was located Monday afternoon, driving her car in Southwest Harbor. She was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
