Townsquare Media will be conducting it's 11th Annual Ton of Pasta on Saturday February 9th! We'll have radio stations at the Hannaford's at the Airport Mall in Bangor, Old Town, Brewer and I'll be at the Hannaford in Ellsworth from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Back when we started this 11 years ago, we thought collectively we might be able to collect 2000 pounds that day. We were blown away by the generosity of our listeners and community, and each year we have collected on average about 3.5 ton! A box of pasta can feed a family of four, and can sit on the shelves of the food cupboards for along time without going stale. There really is no other organized food drive in the area between Thanksgiving and the Postal Carrier's in the Spring. So we need your help!

Back when we started, you could get 3 boxes for a dollar. Now, a box of pasta is around a dollar, and the need is even greater! Too many of our neighbors are having to make choices between heat, medicine and food. Your donation of as much as possible will go along way to helping those in need. If you can't drop off pasta, please consider stopping by with a cash donation and we'll go in and buy the pasta for you!

All of the pasta we collect in Ellsworth will be donated to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry serving the Ellsworth area! So please be generous and bring by your mac and cheese, spaghetti, penne, fettucini or whatever your favorite pasta is! It will all be much appreciated!
