Structure Fire In Otter Creek Engulfs Building, No Injuries Reported

At approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, March 20th, the Mount Desert Fire Department received a 9-1-1 call for an unknown fire in Otter Creek. The fire was quickly determined to be a structure fire, and when the agencies arrived it the structure was fully involved.

Mutual aid brought the following to fight the fire

Versant

Crews from Versant shut the power off, which resulted in parts of Bar Harbor losing electricity.

Luckily no one was injured.

The State Fire Marshall's Office is working to determine the origin of the fire.
