Not A Good Day for Triskaidekaphobians!

If you have the fear of 13, let's face it, 2013 isn't much fun for you! There are only two Friday the 13ths, September 13 and December 13 but the whole year is a giant 13! And today... Well it's 1-3-13, or 13-13!

"Triskaidekaphobia (from Greektris meaning "3", kai meaning "and", deka meaning "10" and phobia meaning "fear" or "morbid fear") is fear of the number 13, it is a superstition and related to a specific fear of  Friday the 13th,  called paraskevidekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia.

But, you need to look on the bright side, otherwise you'll be throwing salt over your shoulder for another 362 days! There were three Friday the 13ths in 2012, and there are only 2 this year! Plus, maybe you should emulate country-pop star Taylor Swift, who was born on Dec. 13, who draws the number on her hand before every performance. Then there are famous athletes who wore the number 13! Professional football quarterback Dan Marino wore 13 on his Miami Dolphins jersey, as did basketball star Wilt Chamberlain when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers.
