Free NARCAN Training in Southwest Harbor Wednesday, January 24

The Acadia Family Center in cooperation with the Bar Harbor Fire Department will present a FREE NARCAN Training on Wednesday night, January 24th from 6 to 7 p.m.

The Acadia Family Center is located at 1 Fernald Point Road, Southwest Harbor

Attendees will learn how to prevent an opioid overdose by administering nasal NARCAN and will receive information on how to obtain NARCAN. Everyone who attends the training will be given NARCAN to carry. The training will last approximately 1 hour.

By equipping individuals with NARCAN and training to identify and respond to an overdose, the potential delay between the onset of an opioid overdose and the delivery of life-saving care can be reduced.
