Ellsworth Memorial Day Parade Cancelled But Wreath Laying to Go On

The City of Ellsworth announced on Tuesday, May 14th that the annual Memorial Day Parade is cancelled for this year, but the wreath laying ceremony will go on.

The Parade was cancelled because of a lack of participants.

The Annual Wreath laying at the City Hall Monument will take place at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day, May 27th.

There will then be a "walking parade" to the Union River Bridge for a wreath laying ceremony and then back to City Hall.

It's hoped that the Memorial Day Parade will return in 2025
