Northern Light Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals Re-Open COVID Testing Facilities
Effective Friday September 10th Northern Light Maine Coast and Blue Hill Hospitals will be re-opening their COVID Testing facilities in response to the rising cases of COVID-19
Maine Coast Hospital is re-opening their testing building in the parking lot across from the Hospital at 50 Union Street in Ellsworth. Testing will be available Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Blue Hill Hospital is utilizing their testing building on their campus, Monday-Friday 1 p.m to 4 p.m.
Testing is available for those who are symptomatic or asymptomatic with an exposure. More information for COVID-19 testing is available at: COVID-19 - Northern Light Health
Testing is available by appointment only and will include a self-swab test; staff will not be swabbing patients (and parents will need to swab their children.) To schedule an appointment for Maine Coast, please visit: COVID-19 - Northern Light Health or call 844-489-1822; for Blue Hill, call 374-2311.
State order testing sites, including Northern Light Health facilities, can no longer accept or process samples for people looking for pre-travel or event clearance. Because of volume, this testing is reserved for people with a confirmed or suspected exposure. Travel and event testing is available at many fee for service locations (with a much quicker turnaround time) throughout the state
