Nomination Papers Available in Mount Desert and Tremont for Board of Selectmen and School Board

If you are a resident of the Town of Mount Desert or Tremont and are interested in serving on the Board of Selectmen or School Board, nomination papers are now available, and must be returned to the respective Town Clerks no later than March 5th.

In Mount Desert the following seats are expiring

• 1 seat on the Board of Selectmen with Martha Dudman's term expiring.
• 2 seats on the School Committee with Heather Jones' and Kate Chaplin's terms expiring
• 1 seat on the MDI High School Trustee Board with Tony Smith's term expiring.

Dudman, Jones, Chaplin and Smith are all eligible to run for another 3 year term

In Tremont the following seats are expiring

• 2 seats on the Board of Selectmen with Mike Mansolilli's and Kevin Buck's terms expiring
• 1 seat on the MDI High School Trustee Board with Keri Hayes' term expiring
• 2 seats on the Tremont School Committee with Keri Hayes' and Heidi Lawson's terms expiring

Mansolilli, Buck, Hayes and Lawson are all eligible to run for another 3 year term

The Town of Mount Desert municipal election is on May 3rd and the Town of Tremont municipal election is on May 4th.
