Here's a real nice way to end this week.

Noel Paul Stookey, one of the more famous and certainly one of the most musical residents of Hancock County will perform this afternoon, once again in support of the Blue Hill Public Library.

Of course music fans are well aware of Noel Paul's achievements both as a member of Peter, Paul and Mary, one one the most popular folk groups ever, along with his very impressive solo work. Noel Paul Stookey is also a fabulous story teller and fans of the Blue Hill Public Library look forward to his December appearances there every year.

But of course with the nasty COVID-19 pandemic refusing to take the holidays off, his appearance there will be different this year.  It will be an online performance.  That's right, no need to go out into the cold tonight!  Enjoy Noel Paul Stookey's wonderful music and humorous stories from the comfort of your living room.

Good music and good cheer will abound today beginning at 4 p.m. and you can watch it free of charge on the Blue Hill Public Library's You Tube Channel.  Don't worry if you can't make it at 4 for the premiere, as you can watch it later when it's convenient for you.

We can only hope that he performs one or two of the songs that he known most for.  Maybe The Wedding Song, Puff The Magic Dragon, or I Dig Rock 'N Roll Music will be on the playlist, along with a holiday classic or two!

We look forward to it!
