Are you ready for 2026? How about a bracing dip into the Atlantic Ocean to kick off 2026?

The Tremont Fire Department invites you to their 12th Annual Polar Plunge which will take place on Thursday, January 1st at 10 a.m.

The weather looks perfect for a little dip and to show 2026 who is boss! It's supposed to be mostly sunny with snow likely in the morning, but little or no snow accumulation. It will be cold, with highs around 20, before dipping back to around 15 in the afternoon.

The Polar Plunge takes place on the Back Beach in Bernard. You can visit the Facebook Event Page HERE. The actual address if you want to put it into your GPS or Google Maps  is  98 Lopaus Point Road in Tremont. There are limited beachside parking spots

Weather permitting the Tremont Fire Department will have a bonfire and provide hot chocolate.
