Mock Casualty Drill – Acadia National Park – April 4 [VIDEO and PHOTOS]

First responders from across Mount Desert Island responded Thursday morning, April 4th to a MOCK casualty drill, of a vehicle and van rollover on the Causeway in Acadia National Park.

Students from MDI High School role played as victims, a wrecked vehicle was provided by MDI Towning. Firefighters were able to practice with the Jaws of Life. The Maine Forest Service sent a helicopter to simulate loading and transporting a patient to MDI Hospital. Most Fire Departments sent responders and Northeast Harbor Ambulance was there as well as Park personnel.
