Memorial Day Observance and Breakfast in Hancock May 27

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th. Here's what's happening in Hancock.

The Union Congregational Church of Hancock will host Breakfast on the Green at the Town's Memorial Day observance at the Hancock Village Memorial Lot on Monday, May 27th. The Lot is located at the intersection of Point Road and US Route 1 in Hancock. Breakfast sandwiches, muffins, fruit salad, coffee, water, and juice will be available for purchase at 9:30 am prior to the 10 a.m. start of the Memorial Day Service.

Other Memorial Day activities at that time and location include a parade from the Hancock Community Center, Posting of the Colors by the Fire Department Honor Guard, music selections by the Hancock Grammar School Band, recognition of Hancock Citizen of the Year Doug Kimmel, and remarks by Hancock citizen Janice Colson.

Following the ceremony, the Hancock Women's Club will host an Open House featuring cookies and lemonade at the Community Center for all participants and attendees of the Memorial Day celebration.
