MDI High School has a program called S.U.N. and it stands for Students with Unique Needs. The MDI High School Interact Club had been doing a toy drive at the school with the presents earmarked for the Maine Home for Little Wanderers. One of the S.U.N. students saw the toy drive box and wanted to know more about the toy drive.

Once the teachers explained that there were children who were not going to receive presents this year, Aaron Lichenstein and Zachary Johnson, went about trying to correct this and make sure the children had toys. Lichenstein and Johnson went to adults throughout MDI High School and explained that they were going to purchase toys, and would they donate money to their efforts.

By the time the boys were done, they were able to purchase 163 toys to add to the MDI High School Interact Club's Toy Drive!

They went shopping on Friday, December 15th and today, December 18th they were still talking about their efforts, and rightfully so!

Thanks to Christina McKay Blake for sharing this with me, so I could share it with you!
