MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Village Name Employees of the Year
MDI Hospital and Birch Bay Village's employees gathered Friday, June 26th for a socially distanced picnic and to honor the nominees for Employee of the Year as well as the announcement of the Employee of the Year.
Outoging President and CEO Art Blank talked about every employee at MDI Hospital representing the Hospital’s six core values: Compassion, Community, Improvement, Integrity, Respect and Teamwork.
Nominees for MDI Hospital’s 2020 Employee of the Year award were Angie DelVecchio, APRN, FNP; Barbara MacPike, RN, BSN, CIC; and Lauri Kandutsch, CCMA, RMA, CMAS.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Angie DelVecchio has remained a respectful and caring employee since she began her career with MDI Hospital in 1997. Angie has said that MDI Hospital has been like a family to her over the years, and she couldn’t imagine being a provider anywhere else.
As the Quality and Safety guru, Barbara MacPike has seen it all throughout the years. Barbara always has a positive attitude and has remained determined and compassionate throughout this pandemic, selflessly taking on any challenge that she is handed.
For 26 years, Lauri Kandutsch has been an energetic, dedicated employee and friend to her co-workers. Throughout the years, Lauri’s resiliency has shown through, and she’s been a caring mentor for her staff when they’ve needed someone to talk to.
The 2020 Employees of the Year were Barbara MacPike for MDI Hospital and Jenny Michaud for Birch Bay Village. Congratulations to all the nominees.
