MDI Football Coach’s Show [Audio]

The MDI High School Trojans beat Nokomis 20-14 on Saturday, September 6th. I spoke with MDI Head Football Coach Mark Shields on Monday afternoon, as I do every Monday and Thursday during the football season.

He talked about the last 2 minutes of the game, when MDI recovered a fumble, lost one and then held the Warriors on downs to win the game. Mark Shields talked about the stellar play of Jalique Keene, and the work of the special teams. We talked a little about the penalties, and what the team will work on this week as they prepare to play Belfast at home on Friday, September 12th. The Belfast-MDI game will air be heard on WDEA AM 1370 from 6:40 until 7:25 when we will start the Red Sox pregame show as they will be out in Kansas City.
