MDI-Ellsworth Soccer Games Canceled

The final soccer games of the season between MDI and Ellsworth scheduled for Friday, November 6th and Monday, November 9th have been canceled.

The decision to cancel these games and MDI's participation in the JV Cross Country meet in Bangor on Saturday, November 7th was made by MDI High School.

According to MDI Athletic Director Bunky Dow

Due to the rising cases with COVID in our area and concerns from families and players, MDI has canceled all remaining soccer games, and the JV XC meet on Saturday in Bangor.  I sincerely apologize to the Ellsworth Administration, players, and coaches for this decision, along with the MDI coaches, athletes, parents, and the community. This was not an easy decision but a decision made for the safety of the players, coaches, family members, and community.
