MDI Boy’s Tennis Beats Hampden Academy; Girls Fall

The MDI Trojans Tennis Teams traveled to the Armstrong Tennis Center in Bangor to take on the Hampden Broncos on Wednesday afternoon, May 3rd. The MDI Boys won 5-0 while the Girls lost 1-4.

• #2 Singles Max Friedlander beat Harrison Witheau 8-1
• #3 Singles Treyan Nelson beat Ryan Hefener 8-5
• #1 Doubles Evan Ankrom/Jameson Weir beat Peter Verhat/Andrew Lyons 8-6
• #2 Doubles Riley Donahue/Bowdoin Allen beat Bennet Moholland/Nate Downs 8-3

Girls

• #1 Singles Taber Allen lost to Zoe Castrucci 0-8
• #2 Singles Meredith Cook lost to Tessa Castrucci 2-8
• #3 Singles Mai Ishimura lost to Chandler Smith 0-8
• #1 Doubles Molly Webster/Eliza Levin lost to Lydia Harnish/Marley Hall 2-8
• #2 Doubles Scarlett Squires/Julia Ramos beat Kristen Scott/Lucy Witheu 8-5

The Boy's record is 4-1 while the Girl's record is 0-5.

Both teams are back in action on Thursday, May 5th when they host Bangor.
