MDI Tennis Splits with Old Town

The MDI Trojan's Tennis Team split with Old Town on Wednesday, May 17th in Bar Harbor, with the Boys winning 5-0 while the Girls lost 1-4.

Boys

• #1 Singles - Westy Granholm beat Kaiden Plourde 8-4
• #2 Singles - Max Friedlander beat Kameron Plourde 8-3
• #3 Singles - Evan Ankrom beat Theodore Stoup 8-3
• #1 Doubles - Jameson Weir/Owen Kelly beat Jacob Brian-Busmy/Bryson Madden 8-1
• #2 Doubles - Riley Donahue/Bowdoin Allen beat Cooper Neely/Jack Marquis 8-6

Girls

• #1 Singles - Taber Allen beat Sadie May 8-2
• #2 Singles - Grace LaMoine lost to Karma Ruggeri 7-9
• #3 Singles - Meredith Cook lost to Savanna Lolar 4-8
• #1 Doubles - Molly Webster/Aya Negishi lost to Natalie Baker/Addyson Ferro 5-8
• #2 Doubles - Julia Ramos/Mai Ishimura lost to Haylie Madden/Lily Mickey 8-9 (5-7 tiebreaker)

The MDI Boys are now 10-1 on the season while the MDI Girls are 2-9

The Trojans next play their last regular season scheduled match against the Ellsworth Eagles Monday. May 22nd at home at 4pm.

This weekend Westy Granholm, Max Friedlander and Evan Ankrom will compete in the MPA State Singles tournament May 19-22. Westy Granholm is seeded 7th, Max Friedlander is seeded 9th and Evan Ankrom is also playing by winning his qualifying bracket.
