MDI Boys Tennis Splits While Girls Lose Two at Foxcroft Academy

The MDI Trojans Boys and Girls Tennis Teams traveled to Dover-Foxcroft to play the Foxcroft Academy Ponies for 2 matches on Friday, April 28th, with the MDI Boys splitting and the Girls losing 2 matches.

In the 1st Match, the MDI Boys won 3-2 while the MDI Girls lost 2-3.

Boys

• #1 Singles Westly Granholm lost 3-8
• #2 Singles Max Friedlander won 8-4
• #3 Singles Evan Ankrom won 8-6
• #1 Doubles James Weir/Owen Kelly  won 9-8 (7-4 tiebreaker)
• #2 Doubles Riley Donahue/Bowdoin Alley lost 6-8

Girls

• #1 Singles Tabor Allen lost 4-8
• #2 Singles Grace LeMoine lost 4-8
• #3 Singles Mai Ishimura lost 0-8
• #1 Doubles Eliza Levin/Molly Webster won 8-6
• #2 Doubles Scarlett Squires/Aya Negishi won 8-3

In Match 2 the MDI Boys lost 1-4 while the MDI Girls also lost 1-4

• #1 Singles Westy Granholm won as his opponent retired due to injury
• #2 Singles Max Friedlander lost 7-9
• #3 Singles Evan Ankrom lost 5-8
• #1 Doubles Jameson Weir/Owen Kelly lost 3-8
• #2 Doubles Riley Donahue/Bowdoin Alley lost 8-9 (losing in tiebreaker 4-7)
