Where Were the Drugs and Guns Found?
Officials say Bray was the subject of a night hunting investigation that was being conducted by the Maine Warden Service and the Maine Marine Patrol. In the course of their investigation, Bray was found to be in possession of three firearms, as well as approximately 10 grams of fentanyl, and over $3,000 cash. Based on information gathered in that arrest, along with information gathered by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, investigators obtained a search warrant for Bray's home.
On Wednesday afternoon, that search warrant was executed at Bray's home on GOA Way in Deer Isle. Seized in that search were approximately 23 grams of fentanyl, 6 grams of crack cocaine, over $16,000 in suspected drug proceeds, as well as 46 firearms.
What Charges Do They Face?
Both suspects were taken to the Hancock County Jail, with the following charges.
- Heather Davis, 42, of Deer Isle is charged with class A aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs (fentanyl) and violation of conditions of release. Davis is currently on bail for unlawful possession of fentanyl.
- Dexter Bray, 42, of Deer Isle is charged with 2 counts of class A aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs. (fentanyl)
No bail was set for either suspect. They are expected to make an initial court appearance today.
