Chances are that if you have been to Bar Harbor, you've walked along the Shore Path. But thanks to the January storms, and specifically the January 10th and 13th storms, the Shore Path is now inaccessible because of safety concerns.
It is estimated that it will take $900,000 to restore the Shore Path. As of now, almost $625,000 has been raided thanks to generous donations from the Bar Harbor Inn, the Village Improvement Association and Stay Bar Harbor.
If you are in a position to donate, please consider making a donation via the GoFundMe Page that's been established by the Village Improvement Association. As of Saturday morning, April 6th, the GoFundMe Page has received nearly $19,000.
Yesterday, The First presented a check for $5000 to help fund the repairs.
