Another storm, another high wind watch and the probability of power outages in Downeast Maine! This time the High Wind Watch is in effect from Late Thursday night through Friday morning

Winds will be from the South 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 to 60 miles per hour. in Interior and Coastal Hancock and Washington Counties.

Although the trees have lost most of their leaves with the previous storms, the high winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible.  Also the locally heavy rainfall could weaken tree roots, allowing for a greater probability of downed trees.
