Heavy Snow Headed To Eastern Maine Thursday [UPDATE]
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for parts of eastern Maine, as a low pressure system featuring heavy snow is poised to move through the region on Thursday.
The latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Caribou is calling for 8-to-12 inches of snow for much of coastal Hancock County (including Ellsworth and Bar Harbor) and Washington County (including Eastport and Machias.)
The current forecast calls for Bangor to receive 8 inches of snow through Thursday night, and a winter storm watch was issued for the Bangor area..
The National Weather Service is calling for difficult travel conditions during this weather event.
