Whoever said that we needed the rain, they were right, but did we need 3 plus inches all at once? That's what is expected in Downeast Maine today, September 2nd through 8 a.m. on Friday September 3rd according to the National Weather Service in Caribou

Downeast Maine is expected to receive the remnants of Hurricane Ida with 3 plus inches of rain. There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect through this evening. The heaviest of the rain is expected this morning.

Remember don't drive through deep water. Please be sure that your headlights are on when your windshield wipers are turned on. You're going to need both today!

Also, Ellsworth and AOS 91 schools are back in session. Be careful of buses and children. Just a reminder to stop, even on 4 lane roads when the school bus lights are flashing.
