1.4 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Just North of Penobscot in Hancock County Thursday Night
A 1.4 magnitude earthquake hit 5 kilometers northeast of the Town of Penobscot in Hancock County, last night, August 7th.
The earthquake struck at 10:12 p.m. and was at a depth of 11.6 kilometers or 7.2 miles below ground.
