
Franklin Couple Injured In Hancock Motorcycle Accident
A Franklin man and his wife sustained injuries, his serious, when his bike was unable to avoid hitting a vehicle.
The 52-year-old man and his wife were traveling on Route 1 in Hancock Saturday afternoon when a 76-year-old Hancock man pulled out in front of them. The bike's driver couldn't avoid the car and both he and his wife were thrown from the bike upon impact.
State Police told WABI-TV that both the man and woman were injured, and his injuries were serious enough to warrant his being flown to a Bangor hospital via LifeFlight. The woman was treated at an Ellsworth hospital for minor injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.
The identities of those involved in the crash have not been released.
