Former Hancock County Girl Wins Miss Maine USA Crown
You have to love a beautiful and talented woman from Downeast Maine!
Congratulations to Marina "Rosie" Gray, our new Miss Maine USA! Gray won the crown this past Saturday night by beating out twenty-two other contestants at the state pageant in Portland.
Our new Miss Maine USA grew up in Trenton before attending high school in both Ellsworth and Brewer, and then eventually graduating from the University of Maine. The now 22 year-old has also been a member of the U.S. Military since she was 17, and is currently a sergeant in the Army National Guard, serving with the 133rd Engineer Battalion in Brunswick! Pretty amazing stuff!
This was the first pageant that Gray has ever competed in, and we hope that she keeps the winning streak going as she moves along to the Miss USA pageant next year!
By the way, we absolutely LOVE the map of Mt. Desert Island/Frenchman Bay hanging in the background within the photo below!
