Make it 5 in a row for the Ellsworth Eagles Baseball team! Ellsworth swept Caribou on Saturday, May 16th in Ellsworth, defeating the Vikings 2-1 and 2-0.

In the 1st game, Nicholas Bagley pitched a compete game for Ellsworth, picking up the win. Bagley allowed 1 run which was earned and 5 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 6.

Gunner Bondeseau took the loss for Caribou, pitching a complete game. He allowed 2 runs, both earned, 10 hits and struck out 2.

Caribou took the lead in the top of the 2nd inning. With 1 out Jacob Burby singled. Dylan Conroy singled.  Tyler Dombroski struck out, and with 2 outs Noah Frost doubled driving in Burby.

Bagley singled in the bottom of the 4th. Mitchell Domagala and Griffin Nightengale both singled loading the bases and Devin Wright's RBI single drove in Bagley for Ellsworth's 1st run.

In the bottom of the 6th, Bagley singled to start off the inning. Domagala singled, and then Bagley and Domagala stole 3rd and 2nd bases. Alex Braley's single drove in Bagley for the game winning run.

For Ellsworth Zach McGraw was 2-3, Bagley was 2-3, Domagala was 2-3, Nightengale was 1-3, Wright was 1-1 and Braley was 2-3.

For Caribou Mike Hunter was 1-3, Mason Huck was 1-2, Burby was 1-3, Controy was 1-4 and Frost was 1-3.

In the 2nd game Charlie Libbey just needed 61 pitches to shut out the Vikings. He allowed just 2 hits, struck out 3 and didn't walk anyone to pick up the win for Ellsworth.

Justin Ouellette took the loss for Caribou giving up 2 runs, both earned, on 8 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 2.

In the bottom of the 1st inning Ellsworth scored their 1st run. Bagley reached on a fielder's choice with 2 outs. Domagala singled and Nightengale singled driving in Bagley.

Ellsworth made it 2-0 in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Avery Anderson singled, and stole 2nd base. Anderson scored on Conor Maguire's RBI single.

For Ellsworth Maguire was 1-3, Zack McGraw was 2-2, Domagala was 2-3, and Nightengale was 1-2. Chris Barnes was 1-3 and Anderson was 1-2.

For Caribou Mason Huck was 1-3 and Noah Frost was 1-2.

Ellsworth is now 6-4 on the season. They play host to John Bapst on Tuesday May 19th, host Old Town on Thursday, May 21 and then travel to Washington Academy on Friday, May 22nd.

Caribou is 4-6 and plays host to Houlton on Wednesday May 20th
