Ellsworth Public Library and Jackson Lab – Online Program “From SARS to COVID-19 My Life With Pandemic Response”
The Jackson Laboratory and Ellsworth Public Library are collaborating to present an online program for the local community entitled, “From SARS to COVID-19: My Life With Pandemic Response” on Tuesday, March 31 at 7:00 p.m.
Jackson Laborartory President and CEO Edison Liu, M.D., will be the speaker for this special event. Dr. Liu who previously led the scientific response for the country of Singapore for the SARS crisis in 2003 will talk about the science of the coronavirus (COVID-19), how to slow the spread of the virus, what the scientific community is doing to address the public health crisis and answer questions submitted during the presentation. Nadia Rosenthal, Ph.D., JAX’s scientific director in Bar Harbor, will moderate the online Q&A.
This online event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. The online event will be accessible through a link on the Ellsworth Public Library website and on the Ellsworth Public Library's Facebook page
