Ellsworth Police Department Promotes 3

The Ellsworth Police Department announced the promotion of 3 officers on Monday, September 30th.

David Lord was promoted to Captain, Kelvin Mote was promoted to Sergeant and McKay McLean was promoted to Corporal.

Lord who was previously a sergeant joined the Ellsworth Police Department in 2022. He began his career with the Brewer Police Department, working for the department 14 years, 9 as sergeant. He has spent over 4 years with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office working for the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Mote was previously a corporal and has worked for the Ellsworth Police Department since 1999. He was promoted to corporal in 2018. He had previously worked at the Hancock County jail.

McLean has been a patrol officer, working for the Ellsworth Police Department since 2020.
