The Ellsworth Football Team fell to the Dexter Tigers 50-24 on a beautiful night for football, at Tug White Stadium at Ellsworth High School, Friday, October 8th.

Dexter won the coin toss and elected to defer, wanting the ball in the 2nd Half. Dexter kicked off, and Ellsworth took over at their own 27 yard line

Ellsworth fumbled, and Dexter took over at the Ellsworth 35 yard line, with 11:19 left in the 1st Quarter.

Avery Gagnon scored from 10 yards out. The 2-point conversion was good, and Dexter led 8-0 with 8:39 left in the 1st quarter. The drive took 2:20

Ellsworth took over on their own 28 yard line, Dexter's Will Kusnierz picked off Thomas Jude's pass, and the Tigers had the ball on their own 25 yard line with 5:37 remaining in the 1st Quarter.

Gagnon broke a 75 yard run off, to score his 2nd touchdown of the night. The drive took just 25 seconds. With the 2-point conversion good, Dexter led 16-0.

Ellsworth took over at their own 32 yard line, with 4:57 remaining in the 1st Quarter. The Eagle's offense stalled, and Thomas Jude was forced to punt. Unfortunately the snap was muffed, and Jude couldn't get the punt off, getting sacked.

Dexter took over at the Eagle's 27 yard line with 3:22 left in the 1st Quarter

8 seconds later Dexter scored their 3rd touchdown, this time a 27 yard pass from William Pratt to Kayden Kimball. The 2-point conversion was good, and Dexter led 24-0

Ellsworth took over on their own 33 yard line, with 3:07 left in the 1st Quarter. But, Jude was picked off again, this time by Blaine Gould.

The Tigers had the ball on the Ellsworth 40 yard line. 1 play later, Will Kusnierz scored from 39 yards out. He then kicked the point after, and with 1:40 left in the 1st Quarter Dexter led the Eagles 31-0. The drive took 50 seconds.

Ellsworth took over at the Dexter 46 yard line, but turned the ball over on downs.

Dexter then punted, followed by an Ellsworth punt, and with 6:33 remaining in the 1st Half, Dexter had the ball at their own 30 yard line.

The Ellsworth defense forced a turnover, a fumble, and with 5:49 left in the 1st Half, Ellsworth had the ball at the Dexter 34 yard line.

But, Jude was picked off for the 3rd time, the 2nd time by Kuznierz.

Dexter scored again, this time Spratt running in from 15 yards out, on a busted play. The point-after was good, and Dexter led Ellsworth 38-0 at the end of the 1st Half.

Dexter took the opening kick back of the 2nd Half back to their own 35 yard line. Gagnon scored 2:05 later, running in from 17 yards out. The point after attempt was blocked, and with 9:05 remaining in the 3rd Quarter, Ellsworth led 44-0

But, Ellsworth got on the scoreboard, with 2:47 remaining in the 3rd Quarter, on Matt Carney's 35 yard run. The 2-point conversion was good, and with 2:47 left in the 3rd Quarter, Dexter led Ellsworth 44-8.

After Dexter fumbled, Ellsworth took over, and found the end zone again, this time on a 25 yard pass from Thomas Jude to Alex Hamilton. The 2-point conversion was good,and Dexter led Ellsworth 44-16.

Dexter scored their final touchdown, on a 58 yard run from Avery Gagnon. The point-after was blocked, and Dexter led 50-16

Ellsworth scored their final touchdown on a 1 yard run from Jack Johnston. The 2-point conversion was good.

Dexter is 3-1 and plays at Mattanawcook in the final game of the regular season on Friday, October 15th.
