In ten games this season, the Ellsworth Boy's Soccer Team has given up 5 goals, and with tonight's 6-0 victory over Washington Academy at the football field at Ellsworth High school, it marked the Eagle's fifth shutout in a row. The last time Ellsworth allowed a goal was on September 20th, when Ellsworth beat Caribou 2-1.

Ellsworth's first goal was scored by Conor Maguire, assisted by Jack Weeks, at the 13:24 mark in the first half.  Jack Weeks then scored a goal with an assist from Kyle Golding at the 10:32 mark. The first half ended with Ellsworth leading Washington Academy 2-0.

John Fendl scored the first goal for Ellsworth in the second half  at 39:12.  Anthony Gardner scored at 35:50 with an assist from Jack Weeks.  Conor Maguire scored his second goal of the night for Ellsworth at the 31:33 mark and soon after, Valter Moeller scored at 31:12. The final score was Ellsworth 6 Washington Academy 0.

Nick Bagley started in goal for Ellsworth and had 3 saves in the first half and Bruce St. Peter finished in goal with a total of 7 saves.  Cameron Varney played in goal for WA with 8 saves.

With the victory, Ellsworth improved to 10-0 on the season. The Ellsworth Eagles play their next game Thursday, October 9th at Del Luce Stadium on Senior Night at 6 PM. Washington Academy fell to 6-2-2. The Raiders will host Narraguagus on Thursday, October 9th at 4 PM and play at Sumner on Saturday, October 11th at 12 noon.
