Earthquake on MDI Saturday Morning
Did you feel it? A earthquake registering 1.9 on the Richter Scale occurred early Saturday morning May 22nd at 12:33.25 a.m. on Mount Desert Island.

The United State Geological Survey reports that an earthquake registering 1.9 magnitude shook the ground approximately 4 kilometers northwest of the Town of Tremont . The earthquake occurred 14.8 kilometers below the ground.
