Eagles – Red Riots Today at 3:30

The Ellsworth Eagles hope to continue their postseason magic Saturday afternoon whey they play the Orono Red Riots at approximately 3:30 for the Northern Maine Class B Championship at the Cross Insurance Center. The game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

The Eagles enter the game one of the hottest teams. They have won 9 games in a row, and enter the game with a 16-4 record. Ellsworth and Orono met once before, in Ellsworth on January 27, with the Eagles winning 40-38.

The Eagles advanced to the Northern Maine finals thanks to a pair of buzzer beaters from Bryce Harmon to tie the game against Caribou 40-40 thanks to a half court 3-pointer at the end of regulation and Bruce St. Peter's basket to win the game over the Vikings 42-40 in overtime.
