Donations and Volunteers Needed for the 2018 MDI Thanksgiving Basket Program

Donations and volunteers are urgently needed for the 2018 MDI Thanksgiving Basket Program which provides around 250 Thanksgiving baskets to families on Mount Desert Island.

Families who would like to take advantage of this program need to sign up ahead of time at the Bar Harbor Food Pantry, Southwest Harbor Food Pantry or Bar Harbor Congregational Church.

Donations of cash and non-perishable goods are being accepted at Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, Bar Harbor Savings and Loan, Machias Savings Bank, and The First in Bar Harbor. The are also being accepted at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church.

Volunteers are needed on Monday November 19th at 10AM at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church, 24 Mount Desert Street to assemble the boxes for donations.
