Class D Day at the Tournament

Today, President's Day is usually Class D Day at the Northern Maine Basketball Tournament! With Class B having played their Quarterfinal games on Friday and Saturday, typically there would be 2 Class D games on the Saturday in the night session, and then Monday would be devoted to the smallest schools, with 6 games on tap, but with some of the loudest, and most passionate fans!

There was nothing like seeing the old Bangor Auditorium and new Cross Insurance Center packed with fans wearing their school colors. The bands although smaller in number wailed! The cheerleaders would be leading the crowds in supporting their teams! The

So today, we pause wishfully, remember the good times, and look forward to even better times! We can't wait to see the Class D schools in Bangor next year on their day along with the fans, cheerleaders, band members and parents!
