
Post-Season Awards Continue for Former Ellsworth Eagle Grace Jaffray
Former Ellsworth Eagle Grace Jaffray's post-season awards continued on Monday, when she was named to D3hoops.com Women's All-Region 2 1st Team and the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) 1st Team.
Jaffray, who plays for Johnson Wales University had a monstrous year, in her sophomore year. Jaffray who was a member of the Class of 2025 at Ellsworth High School, reclassified to graduate in 2024 and attend Johnson and Wales.
She finished the 2025-26 season 4th in the nation in scoring at 22.7 points per game. She was named the Conference of New England's Player of the Year, and to the All-Conference 1st Team.
As a sophomore, she scored her 1000th collegiate point, becoming the 7th player in Johnson and Wales Woman's Basketball's history to do so, and the 1st sophomore. She ended the year with 1132 points which is 7th place in the program's history.
Jaffray, from Blue Hill, is a Business Administration major.
