After a 1 hour and 50 minute executive session, the Ellsworth City Council came out of executive session and voted 5-1 to extend the contract of the City Manager, Glenn Moshier at the January 8th City Council meeting.

City Council Chair Michelle Beal confirmed that Moshier's contract was extended for 1 year, or until a new manager is in place, whichever comes first.

Voting in favor of the extension were Councilors Michelle Beal, Casey Hanson, Tammy Mote, Patrick Lyons, and Nancy Smith. Voting against was Councilor O'Halloran. Councilor Stein was absent. There was no discussion when the Council came out of executive session.

The Ellsworth City Council placed Moshier on indefinite leave pending an investigation on January 4th from his role as Police Chief. He remains on leave.

The Ellsworth City Council presented Moshier with a certificate for20 years of service as a police officer, Sargent, and Chief of Police with the Ellsworth Police Department during the regular meeting, to a standing ovation by the Council.
