State Police say Trooper Dana Austin stopped the vehicle at around 7:30 Sunday night and subsequently called in Corporal Christopher Smith and his canine Winger to help. In addition, three unknown blue pills and several pieces of drug paraphernalia were seized.
The driver, 45-year-old Joseph Strout of Cherryfield, was arrested for Unlawful Trafficking in Crack Cocaine and Unlawful Possession of Heroin. A passenger in the vehicle, 45-year-old Clifford Seavey, was arrested on a warrant for unpaid fines.
