Body Found In Penobscot River Identified as Missing Veazie Man

Police have identified the body discovered in the Penobscot River near the Bucksport/Verona Bridge on June 24 as that of a missing man from Veazie.

Ryan Lamontagne, 21, was reported missing on January 4, 2020.

Police say, at this time, the death does not appear suspicious.

The Veazie Police Department investigated the case with the assistance of the Bangor Police Department, Maine State Police, Marine Patrol, Bucksport Public Safety, Medical Examiner’s Office, and The Maine State Police Crime Lab.
