Timberland Acres RV Park in Trenton will be hosting a fundraiser this Saturday, September 2nd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All proceeds will go to the Bobby Dorr Memorial Scholarship. This $1000 Scholarship is given annually to students of firefighters or those continuing their education in fire service related fields. It is given in partnership with Ellsworth Professional Firefighter's Local 3402.

There will be a silent auction. Items include a cooler, grill, gift cards and more. You do not need to be present to win.

Ellsworth's Deputy Fire Chief Robert "Bobby" Dorr passed away on Wednesday May 5th, 2021.

Bobby Joined the Ellsworth Fire Department as a Paid – On- Call firefighter in August of 2009, and was hired as a career firefighter in October of 2010. Bobby quickly rose through the ranks serving as Lieutenant, Captain and was appointed Deputy Chief of the Ellsworth Fire Department in January of 2021. Bobby also served as the lead instructor for the Hancock County Fire Academy for many years. Shortly before his passing Bobby was  honored as the recipient of the Joel Barnes Community Service Award.
