Thursday afternoon I was privileged to chat with Conner Wagstaff and talk about a new initiative "Be the Change - Ellsworth". Having watched Conner grow up at Ellsworth High School and knowing the Wagstaff family, as I said to Conner the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Conner will be set up at the Downeast Family YMCA every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon through December 5th accepting non-perishable food items, clean, gently used or new clothing and money. All the items donated will go to the Emmaus Shelter in Ellsworth and the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. Please wear a mask when coming to donate

The one thing that I have been amazed at in the 35 years that I have lived in Maine is the willingness for Mainers to rally together and to help Mainers in need. If you can help I know that it will be most appreciated and go to help our friends and neighbors Downeast.
