Bar Harbor should be even more colorful this weekend as the Bar Harbor Pride Festival takes place June 27-30

Bar Harbor Pride buttons are being sold for $10, $5.00 if purchased with a t-shirt that will give wearers discounts at select businesses and locations.

Thursday June 27th

  • Patio Party  5-8PM Milk and Honey  3 Old Firehouse Lane, Northeast Harbor
  • Drag Karaoke 10PM-Close Leary's Landing Irish Pub, 156 Main Street, Bar Harbor

Friday June 28th

  • Cherry Lemonade and Friends - Doors open at 7PM Show starts at 8PM. Tickets available at the Criterion. Criterion Theatre 35 Cottage Street, Bar Harbor
  • After Party - 21 plus event Join Cherry Lemonade, Bunny Wonderland, Lady Ginger, Geo Neptune, Ophelia Johnson and Gig Gabor $5.00 cover charge Carmen Verandah, 119 Main Street, Bar Harbor

Saturday, June 29

  • Morning Hike and Beach Party 10:10- 2:30 PM Meet at the Bar Harbor Village Green, 10 Firefly Lane, Bar Harbor Catch the free Island Explorer, go on a moderate hike (about 1 hour) and end up at the beach for fun, sun, games and snacks. Please bring water and sunscreen. Anyone with a park pass is welcome to meet at the beach. Transportation back to town via the Island Explorer
  • Field Day Fun Fair - 2:30-5PM. Bar Harbor Athletic Fields Corner of Park and Main Street, Bar Harbor. In case of rain this will be moved to the YMCA
  • Dance Party for El Belden - 10PM-Close Lompoc Cafe, 36 Rodick Street, Bar Harbor

Sunday June 30

  • Brunch - 10AM1 12 Noon Lompoc Cafe Suggested Donation $15 36 Rodick Street, Bar Harbor
  • Pride Finale Beach Party - 11:30 - All Day, Fogtown Brewing Company 25 Pine Street, Ellsworth -Doors open at 11:30 with DJ Unknown and DJ Blankspace mixing tunes all day, food by Eat at Joe's and live music starting at 3PM by Beach Trash, the drag-queen-indie-rock band from Downeast Maine. No cover. Proceeds to benefit Health Equity Alliance
  • 2019 Downeast Aids Walk - Registation at 2 PM Ellsworth City Hall Plaza This is an event of Health Equity Alliance. The aim of the walk is to increase awareness and reduce stigma by highlighting significant progress made in research, treatment, prevention and the increased quality of life of those living with HIV and AIDS. Funds raised will benefit Healthy Equity Alliance's HIV/AIDS programming. Schedule 2-2:30 Registration and Warm Up 2:30-3:30 - Go! Walkers start at City Hall and end up at Fogtown Brewing Company. 3:30 PM Prizes at Fogtown Brewing Company and live music with Beach Trash.
