Volunteers Needed for MDI Community Woodbank Work Day October 4 [UPDATED]

Update - Because of the expected heavy rain and wind on Sunday, September 27th the work day has been postponed until October 4th and will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. 

Many hands make light work! Many, many Mainers are going to be facing huge issues with heating their homes this winter. Heating oil is already over $6.00 a gallon and it is climbing.

One of the organizations that is there to help is the MDI Community Woodbank, but they need your help for an upcoming work day on Sunday, September 27th.

The MDI Community Woodbank is seeking for volunteers to come and assist on Sunday, September 27th from 3 to 5 p.m.!

They need all kinds of people! Strong ones to put the bigger pieces of cut wood onto the splitter, and regular folks to wheelbarrow, or stack. They also need folks with paint scrapers, to scrape the paint off of their shed, so they can paint it !.

Great cookies, and water provided!  The MDI Community Woodbank is located at 831 State Highway 3, Bar Harbor!
