Fire ravaged a home in Salisbury Cove in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, December 5th and Heidi Hambrecht and her husband Jesse MacDonnell along with  their two sons Isaac, 13 and Eli 7, are now homeless and have lost everything in a house fire. A GoFundMe page has now been set up.

In a post on Facebook, it was noted that the family needs men’s pants size 34” waist by 32” length, men’s shirt or jacket XL, men’s shoe or boot 9 1/2 or 10, woman’s yoga pants or leggings size XL, woman’s shirt or jacket size XL or 2X, woman’s shoes 10-11. For the 13 year old boy they need athletic pants or sweatpants size 18-20, shirt or jacket size men’s small or medium and shoe size 8 1/2. For the 7 year old boy they need little boy 6-7 pants, size small or medium shirt or jacket and shoe size 1 youth. Clothing is being collected at Cool As a Moose on Main Street in Bar Harbor.

Firefighters from 8 departments, Bar Harbor, Tremont,  Trenton, Hancock, Mount Desert, Ellsworth, Lamoine and Southwest Harbor were at the scene of the fire at 114 Old Bar Harbor Road. A firetruck from Sedgewick covered at the Somesville Fire Station. Because there was no water, firefighters had to tanker water in to portable pools to fight the fire.
