Crews Battle House Fire in Bar Harbor

Crews from eight area departments battled a stubborn house fire Tuesday morning in Salisbury Cove.

The fire at 114 Old Bar Harbor Road reportedly started in the kitchen, according to the Mount Desert Islander.

The Islander reported that the home is rented by Jesse and Heidi MacDonnell.  Neither was home at the time of the fire.

Crews from Tremont, Bar Harbor, Trenton, Hancock, Mount Desert, Ellsworth, Lamoine and Southwest Harbor were on the scene.
