AYS Boys Win 2026 Sheriff’s Cup Tournament Beating Ellsworth 57-51

The AYS Boy's Basketball Team beat Ellsworth 57-51 to win the 2026 Sheriff's Cup Tournament played this past weekend.

AYS led 31-22 at the end of the 1st Half.

Leading the scoring for the AYS Team, coached by Ben Paulsen and Lee Suvlu were

• Chase Stillwell - 16 points, including 4 3-pointers
• Auggie Phillips - 14 points
• Elijah Suvlu - 8 points, inlcuding 2 3-pointers
• Cash Sawyer - 8 points
• Benny Baldridge - 7 points
• Whittaker Grant - 4 points
• Trewitt Nietz - 0 points
• Eli Bernard - 0 points

Leading the scoring for the Ellsworth team, coached by Dan Larry, Roman Drew and DJ Lindsey were

• Johnny Lipton - 30 points including 7 3-pointers
• Eli Robinson - 14 points, including 1 3-pointer
• Julian Larry - 5 points
• Max Lindsey - 2 points
• Evan Merchant - 0 points
• Drew Jordan - 0 points
• Aiden Tupper - 0 points.

Proceeds from the Sheriff's Cup Basketball goes to the Hancock County Sheriff's Department Charitable Fund. Thanks to all the volunteers and teams who made this tournament a success.
