Another Power Outage Planned for Swan’s Island on Friday May 7th
More work is going to be necessary on the underwater cable that brings electricity to Swan's Island and Versant Power is expected to hopefully complete the project. But, that will necessitate another rather lengthy power outage, Friday May 7th.
The work will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 7th. Versant Power has notified us that they will be making emergency repairs to the underwater cable feeding Swan's Island. Repairs, will take approximately 6 hours. They tell us that Versant Power customers on Swan's Island and Frenchboro may experience service interruptions during this time.
You'll want to make sure that all cell phones, IPads, electrical devices etc. are fully charged prior to the power going out.
