There were 4003 Versant Power customers without power as of 4:15 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022 as a result of the snow, rain, ice and wind storm that impacted Downeast Maine today.

Versant's latest email stated that

"Line workers from Versant Power are working to restore service to several thousand customers in Hancock County this afternoon after snow, rain, and strong winds swept through the area on Monday. Towns affected include Deer Isle, Stonington, Southwest Harbor, Gouldsboro and surrounding communities. As always, customers are urged to stay clear of downed lines or trees in contact with them. Workers will remain in the field making repairs until all customers are fully restored"
